"My wife and I had heard great things about Carne and thought we'd give it a try. The restaurant is lovely and the service was good. The food and wine were very pricey. 2 steaks and a bottle of reasonably good wine came to almost R1000. We both had steaks, and they were pretty good, but not incredible. We left feeling slightly disappointed as our hopes had been very high."

"Excellent service. Great learning experience as they bring you all the cuts of meat to your table. The aged beef and sirloin on the bone were delicious and dont leave without trying the chocolate fondat. Dark chocolate heaven. Will leave this for a speacial occasion as this does fall in the upper limit money-wise."

"This evening could have ben a lot better. Our waiter Seth was clearly overwhelmed and barely present for the first half of the meal. Luckily the manager Jamie was able to pick up the slack and took care of us doing everything from explaining the specials to recommending a wine."
