The Jackal and Hide welcomes the trendy young professional to drink, dine and socialise in a stylish environment with a relaxed atmosphere. We make it our mission to exceed local culinary and service standards, while providing our clientele with a eurochic atmosphere and environment in which to socialise.

Situated on the popular Kloof Street with Table Mountain as its backdrop, the menu at Jackal and Hide was designed by Octavio G. Gamo and it includes South African favourites with a twist. The dining space is Victorian with a contemporary touch, designed by Gavin Cohen. Owners, Gavin and Federico Scarpecci, are passionate foodies and have created a good selection of starters, salads, mains and desserts, which are updated regularly.

"We were a group of 8 who went for the 2 for 1 cocktails and the R140 for 2 main meals special. The cocktails were delicious, especially the diffrent types of mojitos. The star of the evening was the seared tuna steak. The only dish I wont pay full price for if the special was not onis the duck. The portion was more comparable to a starter. If the weather permits it book a table on the deck! "

"Amazing food and excellent service! Best duck spring rolls and extraordinary gnocci! Found the ambience a bit mixed - I hate TV in restaurants (although you can choose seating right away from the TV if you want). Definitely worth repeating."

"We had a wonderful time at The Jackal & Hide on Saturday evening. We were a big table but that didn't stop the service from being friendly & efficient. The food came out all together & some of the dishes were truly amazing! I highly recommend the tempura style broccoli for starters! A great night out was had by all. "
